This project was submitted to the Biotopia EAT festival competition, but unfortunately not realized.
MemoSense is a product study that wants to bring (back) sensual enjoyments and biographicmemories to nutrition therapy patients via special multi-sensorial smelling applications and their accompanying sensual impressions. The smells are reaching from basic scents like oranges (accompanied through corresponding textures) to more complex accords like “summerwood” and, depending on the social and national origin of the patients, highly stimulating “childhoodsmells” like “potato stew” or “grandmother’s perfume”. Despite this last example, the MemoSense smells are of course targeting concrete experiences and memories of sick people and should in noway be confused with “cosmetic fragrances”. The concept was developed together with Moritz Grumbach.
