Anyone who has ever worked with a Windows PC knows the icon that indicates that the computer must first complete its calculations (often for ridiculously simple tasks) before it can continue.
For the Mechanical Hourglass Machine the digital symbol was transformed back into the analog world. The Machine was exhibited at the Push Conference 2016 (unfortunately no pictures or videos). There, the rhythm of the movement was randomly controlled: this led many viewers to think that the Machine reacted to them. So they started to twit and move in front of the installation. An interesting social phenomenon that shows how much man tries to interpret intelligence into everything.
